Read&Write Chrome Extension is a toolbar students can use to help with reading, writing, and research tasks at school and home. The toolbar (shown above) has tools that support reading, writing, and organizing work in Google Docs and on websites.
This tool is web-based which means it can be accessed on any device
(iPads, Chromebooks, laptops).
Read&Write Chrome Extension has features that can support students to:
have text read aloud to help them understand it better
talk and have the words typed for them
suggests words as students type, helping with spelling and writing
record voice notes to add ideas to their work
understand words with definitions and pictures
translate text into different languages, including English and French
highlight text and add notes to stay organized
focus on one part of the text by dimming the rest of the screen
turn text into an audio file to listen to later
