Clicker 8 and Clicker Writer provide writing supports for early or emergent readers or writers who cannot use a tool like Read and Write.

This tool is supported by TDSB SLP and OT/PT services.  Clicker can be recommended for an individual student by a TDSB Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), Occupational Therapist (OT) or Physiotherapist (PT). For more information, contact your school principal.

Clicker 8 is software that can be installed on a computer and used to create on-screen grids, books, mind maps, and fill-in-the-blank documents with varying levels of writing support.  Features include auditory feeback at the letter, word and sentence levels as well as word prediction. Each activity can be customized to student need. It offers alternate access methods (e.g. switch, eye gaze) for students that cannot use the touchscreen or mouse as well as standard access methods.

Each activity can be customized to student need. Students use Clicker Writer with a touchscreen or mouse.
