Using Screenshot Reader

You use Screenshot Reader to read aloud any text on the screen. In particular, it can read aloud text used in images or any application, even if this text is not accessible, for example, inaccessible Flash. The Chrome extension must be added to the user profile.

To use Screenshot Reader to read text:

1. Click on the  button. Your cursor now looks like this: 

2. Select the area of text you want to read aloud.

Read&Write reads the text aloud.

A popup will remain around the area. You have to click on the Play button to read the text aloud again. Click the x to close the popup.

If you prefer for the popup to close automatically you can select the Automatically close after reading checkbox in Screenshot Reader preferences in the Preferences window.
