Google Vids is a collaborative online video creation and editing tool built right into Google Workspace. Vids helps students and teachers make accessible media presentations including videos, screen recordings, podcasts and voiceovers.
This tool is web-based which means it can be accessed on any device
(Chromebooks or laptops) at school or home.
Google Vids has features that can support students to:
record their computer screen to show how they think
record themselves to share their ideas
record their voice while showing their screen (option to add script)
read from a screen while they record (teleprompter with script)
fix videos by editing words in text (transcript-based editing)
add text, drawings, or pictures to explain ideas clearly
edit their videos by cutting, adding text, or adding music
share videos easily with their classmates and teachers
