Captions for Audio and Video is a feature on the Chromebook that allows students to have captions automatically generated for all audio and video media.

Captions for audio and video can support students to:

learn new words and ideas by reading the words at the bottom of the video
practice reading new words while they hear them
focus in noisy spaces
learn new languages
choose how they want to understand something- through listening or reading
