CO-ED BALL HOCKEY
Monday, February 19th
Happy Family Day!
We have a before school practice tomorrow and then our tournament on Wednesday. I ask that our athletes arrive for 7:45am Wednesday in order to prepare for the day. Please refer to the below schedule for the day.
Sunday, January 28th
Practices begin this week. Please check the calendar for dates and times. Our tournament is scheduled for February 21st at Gledhill. We are very busy this time of year with volleyball, basketball and ball hockey, and with basketball and volleyball tournaments on Feb 12th. I will focus a bit more on that team for now, but will definitely have practices each week.
If you have hockey gloves, they can be sent for each practice as they are allowed. No helmets or stick from home. Shin guards can also be worn. I have goggles, gloves and shin guards for everyone if they want to borrow. Goggles are the only thing that is mandatory.
January 27th
Thanks to everyone for coming out to our tryouts this year. We had a huge turnout, and most days saw close to 30 players wanting a chance to compete for the team. For those not on this list, I have spoken to everyone about wanting to do a GLEDHILL HOUSE LEAGUE ball hockey tournament. All Gledhill jr students can join. More info on that in the weeks to come.
I will post practices for the following Tigers by tomorrow night. Congratulations!

TOMORROW IS LUNCH FOR BALL HOCKEY.

Wednesday, January 24th
Our second ball hockey try out is before school this morning and tomorrow morning. Door 5 will be open to enter the building at 7:45am, with tryouts beginning at 8am. I will post a list of the team here by Friday, and plan to move forward with practices for both basketball and ball hockey next week. Practice schedule will be updated by Sunday pm.

I have added 3 tryouts this week. Please have a look at the calendar and make sure to sign up for permission on EMA. Follow the instructions on the EMA tab here to help guide you.
I have sticks and goggles for everyone, but you can bring your own hockey gloves if you like.
Our tournament will be at Gledhill on Februrary 21st. More information on this to come.

Ball Hockey update.........
There is an issue with EMA for ball hockey. Please check back later this evening, or tomorrow and hopefully it is fixed.
Sunday, January 14th
Ball hockey tryouts begin this week on Tuesday and Wednesday at lunch. The schedule has been posted on the calendar. I will pick them up outside the lunch rooms after they eat at 11:45 and bring them to the gym.
For ball hockey, I will be looking to take 4-5 girls and 4-5 boys. Our tournament will be hosted at Gledhill around the middle of February. We have been placed in Division 2, based on the population of our school, meaning we will compete for the South finals in division 2 and do not move on to compete in the Cities.
Hockey gloves and shin guards can be brought from home and used, however I will provide the sticks and the goggles.
