From the Assiociate Director's Office Regarding Registration
"Currently, the TDSB online registration (OLR) has been accepting registrations for JK-08 students only. Starting Monday May 11th , 2020, parents/guardians can use online registration (OLR) to register NEW secondary students who have never attended a TDSB school. School staff can refer parents/guardians to Find Your School on the main TDSB website, where they can locate the Registration link.
Generally speaking, OLR allows parents to enter student information electronically rather than requiring them to fill out a paper registration form. The system then alerts the school via email in School’s General mailbox that there is a new registration. When a student registration is submitted in OLR, it normally stays in the OLR until an in-person meeting is arranged to review documents and complete the Attestation Form. At that point the school may pre-register the student in Trillium. Since it is not possible to verify admission documentation at this time, schools may proceed with pre-registering students in Trillium immediately. Schools must keep a list of all students that still need to have their documents verified. When schools re-open, the in-person verification procedures must be completed which includes document review and the completion of the Attestation Form for each new student registration. There is no requirement to ask parents to email documents (i.e. proof of birth or address) for the purpose of student registration for the 2020-21 school year."
In February, LN14 schools interested in receiving technology packages submitted project proposals for funding. To date, 17 of our schools have received funding to bring their projects to fruition. We are happy to announce that we are able to support 2 more schools in their technology initiatives. Congratulations Macklin PS and Alexmuir JPS!
You made us an offer we couldn't refuse!
Ramadan (April 24 - May 23)
Throughout May, Muslims will be celebrating Ramadan- one of the holiest and most uplifting months in the Islamic Calendar.
During the month of Ramadan Muslims around the world abstain from food and water from sunrise to sunset for 30 consecutive days.
The attached offers some information about Ramadan and tips and considerations so we can support our Muslim students and colleagues who are observing Ramadan while continuing to work or participate in classes and learning remotely.
Should additional information be required, please contact humanrightsoffice@tdsb.on.ca.

"In this extraordinary tale from Peter H. Reynolds, Jerome discovers the magic of the words all around him -- short and sweet words, two-syllable treats, and multisyllable words that sound like little songs. Words that connect, transform, and empower."
"Teachers at Brookside Elementary School in Scarborough came up with a safe way to see their students, decorating their vehicles with balloons and colourful signs before parading past the homes of their students."
We would like to remind everyone that May is "Get Moving Month". We hope you enjoy this video our staff has prepared to help our students keep moving. ~ Andrea Chisholm, Principal @ Tom Longboat JPS
"Amid the uncertainty of this novel coronavirus global pandemic, everyone in our community is facing tremendous pressures, and CHADD and its National Resource Center on ADHD are here to help. We are committed to continuing to be the ADHD resource on which you can rely. Concern about COVID-19 can cause stress, anxiety, and sleep difficulties, especially for those affected by ADHD.
Staff at Michael Garron Hospital in East York (formerly known as Toronto East General) were super touched for the postcards they received from the students at NorthAgincourt JPS. The nurse on the right holding the postcards is a former student of North Agincourt JPS! Crazy small world!!!
