Visual Design

AWD2O1, AWD3M1, AWD4M1

Students study in depth how the elements and principles of design are applied in various art forms. These courses introduce students to the world of design and graphic design concepts. Using a combination of traditional handmade graphic design techniques and a variety of new technologies (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and the Laser Cutter, etc...) students communicate ideas and execute solutions to communication problems.

AWD2O1 - GRADE 10 VISUAL DESIGN

Prerequisite: NAC1O or AVI1O1 and acceptance into PROGRAM2ART

AWD3M1 - GRADE 11 VISUAL DESIGN

Prerequisite: NAC1O, AVI1O1, AVI1O2, or AWD2O1 and acceptance into PROGRAM2ART

AWD4M1 - GRADE 12 VISUAL DESIGN

Prerequisite: AWD3M1, AVI3M1, and acceptance into PROGRAM2ART

Students in Program2Art take a credit in Visual Design and a credit in Drawing & Painting each year.
