In Ceramics Arts courses, students learn methods of construction, hand-building (slab, coil), surface decoration, glazing, and firing. Students develop their own imagery using sketchbook studies and proposal drawings. Emphasis is placed on the maintenance, organization and management of the studio space.

Students have the opportunity to develop their skills in producing and presenting Ceramics by introducing them to materials, processes for exploration and experimentation. Students will apply the elements and principles of design when exploring the creative process.
