In Grade 11 Photography, students learn about traditional and digital photography as expressive art forms. The history of art and design theory as they relate to photography will be explored.
Students are introduced to:
pinhole photography
analogue (film) photography
digital photography
darkroom techniques,
digital post production, including image enhancement and manipulation.
Prerequisite: NAC1O1 or AVI2O1
Students continue explorations of traditional and digital photography as expressive art forms. Students will be challenged to create compelling and communicative images through chemical and digital processes. The history of art and design theory pertaining to photography will be addressed through investigations into themes and genres of photography.
Studio assignments will include:

cyanotypes
darkroom techniques
digital post production
abstract photography / product photography /
