1. Separate your page into sections like the example.
2. On the left hand side, record questions, headings or key ideas (example. Tourism, Industries, Time Periods)
3. On the right hand side, record information you found IN YOUR OWN WORDS (paraphrase). If you copy something word for word, put it in quotation marks and write the link/url that you got it from underneath it.
4. Summarize the key ideas at the bottom so you are sure you understand what you have written down.
5. Use your finished notes to create your presentation or document.
6. At the end of your presentation or document, site your sources using a Reference List or a Works Cited Page.
