Some UK universities and colleges require you to pass an admissions test as well as standard qualifications if you are applying for courses in certain subjects (i.e. Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, Medicine, etc). The details for some of these tests are provided below. Other admissions tests may be required which are not listed on this page. Please check the Entry Requirements for your chosen course(s) on Course Search in UCAS, contact your chosen universities and colleges or check their websites.
UK Clinical Apitiude Test (UCAT)
For entry to medicine, dental and veterinary schools. Registration typically opens the middle of June and must be completed by the middle of September. The UCAT must be taken by the end of September. Further information is available here.

History Aptitude Test (HAT)
For entry to modern history and joint honours degrees involving modern history at the University of Oxford. Further information is available here.
The National Admissions Test for Law (LNAT)
For entry to law. This test cannot be taken at TASIS. Further information is available here.
Sixth Term Examination Papers (STEP)
For entry to mathematics at the University of Cambridge, Warwick, Imperial, etc. Further information is available here.
Engineering and Science Admissions Test (ESAT)
Used for a range of degrees from Chemical Engineering to Veterinary Medicine. Further information is available here.
Test of Mathematics for University Admission (TMUA)
Used for a range of degrees from Mathematics and Statistics to Computer Science and Economics. Further information is available here.
