We are excited to provide TASIS students and parents this virtual handbook to accompany the four-year TASIS college counseling program. It is meant to support students by giving them resources to engage in planning and opening post-secondary options including universities and gap years.
This guide is not meant to be exhaustive yet a resource to accompany student's journeys. We encourage families to use the grade level timelines as a starting place. Using the analogy of the student being in the driver's seat of this process, with his/her family in the passenger seat and the the college counseling department as GPS. We are all here to support the student in finding the best fit option based on their abilities, preferences and dreams.
We update this resource annually with the latest information for the countries to which TASIS England students frequently consider. TASIS students work with the College Counseling Department to further explore examples included within this handbook, as well as worldwide options.
We are fortunate to have a low college counselor to student ratio with four college counselors. The team also includes the College Counseling Adminstrative Assistant who assists in organizing events and communicating with the community.
General questions regarding Maia Learning log-in, event details, etc., can be directed to the College Counseling Administrative Assistant. For student-specific questions, we encourage families to follow the instructions in this document in relation to whom to contact, which is also summarized below:
