In the USA, weather is a very popular small talk topic. We talk about it with people we know and people we don't know. It is a very neutral topic but is always being discussed. I'm sure you know basic weather vocabulary, but do you know that there are different words to describe rain, snow, wind, etc. WATCH the video to review / learn new weather vocabulary and phrases. Write them down. ALWAYS watch the video first and only listen. Then the second time, you can stop the video and write down new vocabulary. Watch it a third time. Temperatures - When you watch tv, the news always shows weather forecasts for the day and the next 3 - 5 days. In America, we use Fahrenheit; in most other countries, they use Celsius to talk about the temperatures. Look at the chart below comparing the two. In America, forecasters talk about temperatures being in the upper, lower or mid '60s'. Upper 60s would be 67 - 69 degrees, mid would be 64 - 66 degrees, and lower would be 61 - 63 degrees.
