Crimes

Every country has rules or laws for its people. If you do not follow the law, you commit a crime. You break the law. Look at the slide show. Click on the sideways 'v' to the left of the word 'Slide 1'. Move the slides this way.

Some Important Vocabulary

steal - to take something that isn't yours ( without permission) permission - ( to give the ok to use or take something) example: The son got his father's permission to take the car. on purpose = you want to do it; it is NOT an accident. She put vodka in her friend's water bottle on purpose.

WATCH the slide show. The slide show has the kinds of crimes and vocablulary related to crime. TAKE NOTES = Write the name of the crime and the explanation. Study them before you do the crime vocabulary form.....

NEW VOCABULARY:

pickpocket - to take or steal from someone's pocket.

ethnic cleansing - killing people because of they are members of an unwanted ethnic or religious group.

humanity - the entire human race = all people

religion - to believe in a God. There are many religions in the world..... examples: Hindu, Buddhist, Christian, Islam, Jewish....)

reduce - to have less or to go down

Study the crime vocabulary before you fill out the 'Crime Vocabulary' form below. Try NOT to use your notes. When you are finished, click on the purple 'submit' button at the bottom of the form. This will take you to another page. It will say, "Your response has been recorded." CLICK on the purple 'View Accuracy' button, and it will show you your answers and the correct answers. This is how you know your correct answers.

When you feel comfortable that you have learned the crime vocabulary, do the activity below.
