Cleaning Procedures

Protocols have been developed for all district facilities. In addition to regular cleaning practices, additional cleaning will be performed daily and nightly with an even more detailed cleaning to occur between blue and green student groups.

Expectations for Additional Sanitization activities

        • Building entries, exits and reception areas will be sanitized after student arrival and dismissal and as needed throughout the day.

        • Cafeterias will be sanitized after each group. (all tables, entry & exit points). Student bathrooms will be sanitized following student arrival, prior to lunch, after lunch and prior to dismissal. (4 times per day)

        • High contact surfaces, such as handrails, door knobs, water fountains, will be sanitized following student arrival, following lunch & prior to dismissal. (3 times per day)

        • Playground equipment will be sanitized prior to student arrival and following use by each group.

        • All student and teacher desks/chairs will be sanitized nightly.

Nightly Cleanings and Sanitization

  • Monitor and restock all sanitizing supplies throughout the building

  • Clean and sanitize all bathrooms thoroughly including all contact surfaces

  • Sanitize all student and teacher desks and chairs

  • Sanitize reception area countertops and office & lounge furniture

Deep Cleaning and Full Building Sanitization

  • Twice weekly between blue and green student groups

  • Sanitize all classrooms, lockers, cubbies, and corridors. Surfaces will be coated with a disinfectant mist from specialized machines.

  • Sanitize gymnasium and cafeteria areas as well as wipe down entry and exit points, clean floors, and equipment
