In this oil painting figure project, three important things to keep in mind when drawing the figure are proportion, posture, and movement. These elements help make the figures look more natural and expressive. I intended to express a feeling of friendship and peace by showing two friends of mine standing at the edge of the ocean together, enjoying the moment. I showed this by painting them close to each other, both with relaxed postures and enjoying the water, creating a calm and unified scene. I chose oil paint for its smooth blending, which helped me create the soft shadows, waves, and skin tones. The faceless style allows the viewer to imagine themselves or anyone in the scene, making it more relatable and timeless.
