For my drawing assessment, I drew a city with dancing cats. I chose a city, and then other people chose an animal and a verb. This is what I came up with.
I used lots of lines and shapes to bring my drawing to life. This gave it dimension and a perspective. There were also lots of patterns to make the different buildings, like the windows and materials of the buildings.
The idea that brought this drawing to life was my interests and likes. All three things; the city, the cats, and the dancing says something about me. I am very passionate through these things as I was born in the city, I love cats, and I love to dance. The technique that I used for the perspective has been something I have done most of my life, so that also inspired me.
Something that was successful about my piece is the 3-dimensional shapes, the perspective, and creativity. I had fun with this assessment.
Something that I learned was that I needed to use value and shading to make my drawing look more realistic and finished. It looks a little incomplete and doesn’t have a lot of depth.
