Shoe Drawing
Still life pre-assessment pencil drawing
This piece was a still-life charcoal drawing of multiple objects place randomly on a table. I used different darkness/lightness levels of charcoal pencils and used a blending tool. To make the objects, I outlined shapes by starting out with a broad, light sketch and eventually added detail. There's a lot of variety in this drawing as I tried to make the objects look 3D and realistic, ranging from a glass bottle to a flower. The blending and value using the charcoal helped with this. Something that was successful about this piece is the definition of the objects and theshading. I learned a lot about this unit about value and how to use charcoal correctly.
