Beautiful Oops

Artist Statement: 

Ideas, creativity, this was the core of the beautiful oops project. It took me so long to come up with an idea for this project, because I wouldn't consider myself a creative person. All I could see was for or five random dots, even when I looked at it from a different angle. Then when I looked at it again I saw a black circle and my mind formed a soccer ball around it. And then when I looked at the thin oval next two it, I now saw a potential soccer cleat. And the rest came naturally. 

For this drawing all I used was a graphite mechanical pencil for shading and sketches.  

After I came up with what to do for the dots, to make a player kicking the ball. I knew to add a simple background. Since I thought the perspective was going to be partway behind the ball, the goalie I ended up drawing I made smaller because of perspective. And then I just added a basic grass background since the setting was a soccer field
