Final Reflection

This is my work that I am most proud of this semester. I am most proud because I put the most attention to detail in this one compared to my other ones. Not to say I didn't try on the other assignments, because I did but this one took more effort. I really like how the marks from the branch that I used for the tree texture are almost different color like an actual tree, so I think I chose a good glaze. This project helped me with creqtivity with ceramics because of how kind of random it is, but it wasnt random at all I planned everything about it. And as a artist I think it helped me grow and encouraged me to step outside of the box a little bit.

Taking this class has changed the way that I look at ceramics because before, My view on it was that people just made bowls and stuff on the spinning table, but now I know it is much much more than that. I learned that I can transfer glaze onto a project from paper and not just a brush, and I learned that there must be a way for air to escape in every clay project or else they will explode in the kiln. I have grown a real enjoyment of ceramics and I think it could be a hobby that I pick back up in my future. It has changed the way that I look at art beause there is so many possibilities, its almost unlimited creative freedom to create whatever you want.

The only thing that I could say is that sometimes when you are teaching us stuff around one of the work tables, it takes a super long time and feels kind of like you are repeating yourself, where we all just want to get to work. But it really isn't that bad Mr. Andersen so don't even worry about it!
