Surrealism Collage

The main idea that guided this painting for me was trying to make a recognizable Hank Aaron jersey surrounded by Hank (Henry) Aarons stats that he accumulated throughout his legendary career. With this art I guess I am just saying that I am a big Hank Aaron fan, RIP.

Whilst making this painting I kept it rather simple and only used a few materials. An important material in this painting/art was a black fine tip Sharpie paint marker. I used the black fine tip Sharpie paint marker to make the background and stats of hank Aaron. The other material used was acrylic paint where I used mainly a light blue and red.

The processes I went through while making my painting here was lots of trial and error and lots of research on 70s Atlanta braves jerseys. I had to know what color scheme would be pretty realistic to what Hank Aaron could've wore, while also not having just a white jersey. I had a first draft that was terrible so I ended up throwing away a day of my class time. I ended up doing this the way i did because Hanks Aarons face would have been very complex and wouldn't have came out good.
