The main idea that guided my work was trying make clear prints that showed my penguin. The penguin came to me when I was using stencils making a design.

When making the work I used a few materials. I used the roller to apply ink, I used a pencil to do my extended print, linoleum for the printing block, and paper to cover part of the linoleum block when using red ink aswell.

While working with the materials I went through lots of trials and tribulations making these prints because of a variety of reasons. One of the main reasons that I had to make lots of practice prints is because the ink would always be blotchy around the edges or right in the center of the penguin.
