This hands-on training is designed to give you everything you need to confidently implement an engaging and effective AP Seminar ELA course. You will actively work through the Capstone QUEST framework and unpack the essential components of the curriculum. Throughout the training, you will collaborate with fellow educators to share ideas, workshop lessons, and exchange strategies you can immediately bring back to your classroom. We will build in intentional time for discussion and idea-sharing, so you leave not only with materials, but with a network of colleagues and fresh inspiration. I will share ready-to-use materials, assignments, and scaffolds from my own classroom to help you jumpstart your planning. We will also take a deep dive into the AP Seminar Performance Tasks and End-of-Course Exam, developing practical classroom activities that prepare students for success. In addition, we’ll discuss creative and exciting ways to blend your existing English curriculum with AP Seminar. Finally, you’ll learn about AP Course Audit requirements and begin developing a syllabus that meets those expectations.
