Who am I?

A Little Bit About Me

I've already written a little bit about me in my about me section but here is a little more about me. I am a student at San Marin High School. I like school and like finishing all my work on time and to the best of my ability. I like to try my best at school even if I don't understand a concept or know how to complete the assignment. From the Indigo report that we did in class I have found out that my top things that motivate me is learning (theoretical) and money (utilitarian). This aligns well with what I see in myself where I will sometimes do things if I get a monetary reward from it. I also will do things just for the sake of learning.

Who Am I? Slide

This was the first assignment we completed this year. It was to get us to think about jobs we may want and for our teacher to get to know us better.

Indigo Report

Below I have included the full Indigo report. This includes my DISC scores, strengths, skills, and motivators.

Indigo 1 Pager

After we analyzed our Indigo Reports, we created one pagers. This one pager has all the important information from my report.

What Do I Want?

College Research

To find out what we want in terms of schools for the future, we researched collages. We researched on in Northern California, one in Southern California, and one out of state. Below I have listed my top 2 colleges I looked at and some pros and cons about them. I also included facts about the colleges.

  • UC Berkeley- Close to home, don't have to pay out of state fees, offers classes and majors I am interested in, and has a great water polo team and swim team. 93% of students at this school graduate within 6 years. 16% of applications are accepted.

  • UC Irvine- Farther from home than UC Berkeley, no out of state fees, offers classes and majors I am interested in, has sports I like (water polo and swim team) 84% of students graduate within 6 years. 27% of applications are accepted.

Career Research

To find out different jobs we wanted, we looked at our interests and jobs that could relate to those. My first choice was lawyer (I explain why in the presentation included below) and my second choice was some kind of engineering job. SInce it was my second choice, I hadn't narrowed it down to what specifically in engineering but since I like building things and I really enjoy stem class, I thought an engineering job would be good. Below is my career research presentation on being a lawyer.
