Marine Echinoderms Mini-Poster
Marine Echinoderms
We have been learning about Echinoderms, which are marine animals that use the water vascular system, and are invertebrates, meaning they don't have a back bone. For this assignment, which had to choose an Echinoderm and make a mini-poster about them. I chose the Sea Star.
Echinoderm
Scientific Name: Asteroidea
Common Name: Sea Star or Starfish
Three Facts:
Echinoderms have spiny skin, an internal "skeleton", and a five part body.
Echinoderms are the only animals that use the water vascular system.
Starfish are able to regrow their arms if the lose them.
The starfish's structure includes: cardiac stomach, pyloric stomach, anus, gonads, arms, spines, eye spots, sieve plate, digestive glands, and the water vascular system, which includes the central canal, radial canal, and tube feet.
Reflection
I think I did a really good job with my drawing. I think it looks really good, and I include both internal and external anatomy. I also did a good job on getting this assignment in on time.
One thing I need to work on is finding more interesting facts to add to my mini-poster. I also could change up the way I design my mini-posters, because I have done it really similarly every single time.
