Marine Arthropoda Mini-Poster
Marine Arthropoda
Arthropods are other animals that have no backbones, or invertebrates. Arthropods are both land and marine animals, and include crabs, lobsters, spiders, scorpions, and more. For this assignment, we were supposed to pick a marine arthropod and make a mini-poster about it. I chose the crab.
Crab
Phylum: Arthropoda
Scientific Name: Brachyura
Common Name: Crab
Three Facts:
Crabs are filter feeders, scavengers, and are predatory feeders.
Crabs are decapod crustaceans, and a crustacean is an arthropod that has a hard exoskeleton, two pair of antennae, a mouth for crunching, and gills for breathing.
Crabs have bilateral symmetry, meaning if you cut it in half vertically, it would look the same on each side.
Crabs have walking legs, eyes, antennae, a mouth, gills, cerapace, chelipeds, carpus, and merus.
Reflection
I think I did a good job making my poster look organized and clean. I like the color choices and I think the poster looks good in general. I think I also did a good job making the website update look good as well.
One thing I can work on is turning it in on time and staying motivated. It was hard to stay completely motivated because the week this was due was a long week for me, but I still need to do my best on not procrastinating the work. I also need to get this assignment in on time.
