In class, we research different bony fish, which are fish with vertebrates and a skeleton made out of bones. For this assignment, we chose a bony fish, and researched information about them. I chose tuna.

Phylum: Chordate

Scientific Name: Thunnini

Common Name: Tuna

4 Interesting Facts

  • They can grow more than 6 feet long and over 500 lbs.

  • They are warm blooded.

Bony fish have two dorsal fins, a caudal fin, and anal fin, two pectoral fins, and two pelvic fins. They have a lot of important internal organs as well.

Reflection

I think that I did a good job getting this project done on time. I finished the poster early, so I was able to get the website update done on time. I also think I did a good job with in internal and external structure of the fish, and included very important things.

I still need to work on making my writing less messy so that the poster doesn't look as messy. I also think that I could have used more fun facts, because these are really basic.
