Our goal:
In Senior Engineering we are assigned one drawing tutorial assignement each week. The assignment requires usto take notes and recreate the drawings from each drawing tutorial. We use these skills all througout the semester for drawing assignements like the Heart Valve Project and our Senior Capstone Project. We do these drawings to achieve professional drwaing skills and techniques that engineers and architects use to bring their ideas to life.
Evidence of Work:
Content:
Technical Drawing - object drawn in a precise and detailed way
Perspective Drawing - a realistic representation of 3D objects that uses different components of drawing techniques like vanishing points, horizons, shading, and foreshortening. It's usually used in technical drawings.
Orthographic Drawing - a 3D object represented by different views of a 2D drawing. Some common viewpoints are the top, front, and right side.
Vignettes - a box that sits behind the object to create a sense of depth to it. Usually used as a frame to draw your attention to the sketch
Horizon Line - determines the eye level of the sketch and creates perspective
Vanishing Point - point in space that is the farthest point from the view.
