Final Fast Prototype

Objective: Our assignment was to create a mechanical prototype of our Capstone ideas using only manual or simple mechanical movement. Each prototype must have at least four moving parts and represent a core function of the concept.

The functions of our charms are listed below:

Heart Charm: Has a button that will send an emergency alert to the police and selected emergency contacts

Box: Will contain a pill that can be put into a drink to see if a drink has been spiked

Tiny box with blue gem: Will contain a GPS tracker inside that can be tracked through an app

Dagger: A long, rectangular box that will be connected to a dagger by a string to act as a defense weapon

Reflection:

For this STEM project, our Final Task was to create a prototype for our Capstone project. Since we decided on a women's defense charm bracelet, where different charms are attached to the bracelet with different defense functions. Since we had two hours to complete the prototype, we each divided the work to make the process go faster. Our team divided the work and worked on each charm to have time for the website update. Our group worked fluidly, and we communicated with each other and asked each other questions when we were stuck. Overall, we all equally contributed to our Final Prototype.
