GRCC

Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC) is one of Museum School's partners. Museum students have taken classes in many different areas at GRCC. Don't feel limited by the courses listed here. These are just examples of classes other students have taken. If you are interested in a different course, talk to Ms. Beeckman about the possibility of it.

Why take a science class?

If you are intersted in science and want to expand your knowlege beyond Museum Integrated Science, GRCC science courses are really interesting. They can get complicated with labs times, but if you are interested, it is definitely an option. If you want to get a non-lab science elective out of the way for college, GRCC science classes are also great for that.

Why take a math class?

Math classes at GRCC are a way for students interested in accelerating their math learning at Museum to get ahead. If a math class you are interested in isn't available at Museum school, take it through GRCC instead.

NOTE: there are additional academic requirements for taking math classes, including a placement test through GRCC

  • Precalculus

  • Calculus 1

  • Calculus 2

Why take a world language class?

If you are interested in a world language that isn't offered at Museum School (like French, Chinese, or German), GRCC classes are a great way to get your language credit for that language.

NOTE: in order to take a language class at GRCC, you must take a placement test

Humanities courses are required by most colleges and are a great class to take in high school.

Why take a communications course?

Communications courses are fairly easy classes to take in high school if you are interested in dual enrollment. They also get an often needed credit out of the way before college.

Why take a computer aided design course?

If you are interested in the machines at Museum School, engineering, or other CAD careers, or want to expand on your knowledge from Computer Apps and CAD courses at Museum School, CAD courses at GRCC are a great option.

Why take a psychology course?

If you are interested in psychology beyond what Museum School has to offer, this is a great option. If you want to take a psychology class in only a semester, rather than a year like the Museum course, this is also a good place to start.
