Mindfulness & Movement Club

This will be a space to check in with ourselves, try different movement sequences, breath patterns, and short meditations, all to help us remember that we are not just brains working on essays and projects, we are whole people.

Who can join? Anyone

How can I join? Email Ms. Anderson and she will start a google classroom/padlet/something as a way to communicate.

Requirements: Be open to trying movement, journaling, breath work. Everything we do is always optional. You don't have to believe or not believe anything to join. You just have bring yourself to the space.

Where and when? We will meet in a morning session on Flex Fridays. We'd like you to commit to coming for, say, 8 weeks or so, in order to have a consistent group. Feel free to try it out and then decide if it's a good fit for you! We'll try to keep the group to about 15 people and add more sections if more are interested!

What do we do? You get to check in with yourself, be in community with others, move, and reflect.

Ms. Candice Anderson has studied with yoga teachers in Boston and Grand Rapids. Ms. Tina Anderson has studied yoga and meditation with teachers here in Grand Rapids. Ms. Edwards has studied meditation and movement here in Grand Rapids and with teachers from California and Detroit.
