Museum student feedback on GRCC classes!
Course Code: TH 248
Credit Hours: 3
Professor: Thomas Kaechele
Students took this class online (asynchronous) during the Winter 2021 semester.
Difficulty Ratings: 3/10
"For the most part, it was time consuming. Watching and then analyzing musicals took a while. It also required you to focus on details. I don't think it was too difficult, though. You had to write 3 2,000 word papers and maybe 500-600 words a week when the essays weren't required, but if you had good notes on both the lecture and the musical itself, you just had to compile them."Grade of student(s) when taking the class: 11th
Worktime ratings: 5/10
"I think it was probably around 6-7 hours of work on a heavy week, and around 4 on a lighter one."Recommend?
"Yeah. I think its fun, and its not too difficult."
What were assignments like?
"There were one or two lectures a week, and then you'd usually watch a performance and look for certain components and talk about them. Sometimes you'd just have a few lectures and a few brief discussion posts. There were 3 2,000 word essays you had to write, but there were a couple weeks in between them. There wasn't a midterm, but there was a final. The final isn't a test, though. You have to establish what you find most important in a reference and reflect on the six performances you're required to view."
