MOECS

The Michigan Online Educator Certification System, or MOECS is the system for tracking certification and certification renewal from the Michigan Department of Education. For all professional learning taken after July 1, 2020, professional learning is uploaded by providers as SCECH (state continuing education clock hours). The GRPS Professional Learning Office completes these uploads monthly.

In order for a course to be eligible to be uploaded to MOECS, it must be marked as "Taken" in KALPA and must be tagged with the designated blue box SCECH tag. Please contact the facilitator of a professional learning course for questions regarding your attendance. Please complete all surveys in KALPA prior to that month's upload. If you see a course in your plan that you believe should have the SCECH tag and it does not, please contat the Professional Learning Office at pd@grps.org. 

Once a course is uploaded to MOECS you do need to take a survey in that system in order for the course to be used for certification renewal.
