All new GREA hires are provided a mentor to support your transition to GRPS for your first year.
The State of Michigan requires GRPS to provide a mentor to all teachers in their first three years of teaching. The State of Michigan also requires GRPS to provide a mentor to all teachers teaching on a permit.
Mentors are assigned to GREA staff by their supervisor. If you have any questions or concerns about your mentor assignment, please reach out to your supervisor or the Professional Learning office.
All mentor meetings are tracked on the Mentor Website. Mentors should log meetings in the system, and mentees should confirm them, at the end of every meeting.
