The primary responsibility of a mentor is to support their mentee in becoming acclimated to Grand Rapids Public Schools and in growing professionally.
The purpose of the mentor assignment is to connect each mentee with a supportive peer who can offer guidance, resources, and information in a collegial and non-threatening manner.
All mentor/mentee interactions should center around one or more of the four domains of Charlotte Danielson’s Framework for Teaching:
Planning and Preparation
The Classroom Environment
Instruction
