*Student Assistance Program

The Student Assistance Program (SAP) is a team process used to mobilize school and community resources to remove barriers to learning.  SAP is designed to assist in identifying issues including alcohol, tobacco, other drugs, and mental health which can hinder a student's achievement/attendance and overall success in the school environment.

The primary goal of the Student Assistance Program is to identify and assist students in accessing services that help them overcome these barriers so that they may achieve, advance, and remain in school.

Students can participate in a pre-screening assessment with a trained professional to determine if the student needs to be recommended for additional services.  Students do need to have parent/guardian permission to participate.  However, the screening is free and is scheduled at the high school during the school day.

It all starts with a referral.  Talk to your guidance counselor if you would like to access SAP services.
