Grove City College

Dual Enrollment

Earn college credit at a fraction of the standard cost.

Get a head start at Grove City College and save money as a high school junior or senior. At $200 per credit, courses cost about 60% less than our standard cost per credit. Students who take several dual-enrollment classes throughout high school can significantly reduce the cost of a Grove City College degree.

Courses count for Grove City College credit and may count for high school credit and college credit at other institutions. Check to see if your high school facilitates concurrent or dual enrollment. Upon high school graduation, students are no longer eligible for the dual enrollment rate and will be subject to the standard tuition rates beginning with the summer terms immediately following graduation.

Courses offered online and on campus.

Dual-enrolled students may take courses online throughout the year. Local dual-enrolled students may take courses on campus during the fall and spring semesters as well as online.

Most courses are worth three credits, except for courses with associated laboratories (which are usually worth four credits). Additionally, published course-related fees (e.g., laboratory supplies) are the responsibility of the student, and financial aid is not available to dual-enrolled students.

New students: How to apply and register.

Please submit the following documents by email, postal mail, or fax by the registration deadline that corresponds to your term of interest. An incomplete application will cause processing delays. You may apply any time, but applications must be completed one week prior to registration closing (see application deadlines below) to allow for students’ paperwork to be processed in advance of class registration.

Please note:

*Students who have previously applied and been accepted to the dual enrollment program do not need to reapply.

Returning students: How to register for classes.

Previously dual enrolled students can register for classes through my.GCC once the registration period begins. If a dual enrolled student has taken a semester or more off, he/she will lose access to my.GCC. If this is the case, the student must contact the Registrar’s office to reactivate his/her my.GCC login to register for classes.

Students may access their official GCC transcripts on my.GCC > Academics tab > Student Self-Service. If a student no longer has access to my.GCC, he/she can request their transcript by contacting the Registrar’s office.

Guidance for selecting courses.

As you determine which courses to take, think about what you might like to eventually major in and consider taking courses that align with that future pathway. Refer to the College Catalog for major requirements and course descriptions, and browse Majors & Departments to explore our programs in more depth. If you are undecided about your future major, we encourage you to take general education courses or electives that interest you.
