Canada Hill
It called Canada Hill speculated that the hills name was attributed to the team of Canadian driller working in the local oil industry in the early days of Miri.After that, the hill was named after a Canadian who used to live in the area. Canada Hill is a historic location that played a significant role in the birth of the petroleum industry in Malaysia.
One of the main ,attractions of Canada Hill is the Old Grand Lady, which is a symbol of the oil industry in Sarawak. Visitors can also explore Kampung Haji Wahed, a local village inhabited by Kedayan people, and take a rest on the green lawn.
Canada Hill provides one of the best vantage points to admire the entire area of Miri City and the South China Sea. Visitors can also jog on the well designed path while enjoying the stunning view.
Niah national cave is alive with 40,000 years of unwritten history, because it was inhibited by humans at least 40 millennia ago. The caves are the site of some of the oldest human remains discovered in Southeast ASIA.
Niah national Park is home to the Niah Caves, ancient burial sites, cave painting and the spectacular Great Cave. Niah cave is the largest cave in Sarawak. The cave is the earliest living quarters in prehistoric times. In the Niah cave can see about many human historical relics and natural forest scenery
Coco Cabana an event space that is located at the tip of Marina Bay area river mouth mound sea wall event space, featuring an art gallery, gift shop, food stalls, cafe and museums. The building features intricately carved wooden detailing on the main hall, and the location offers a sunset view at sea and the Miri coastline. The building was previously a seafood restaurant prior to this.
Miri top tourist attraction within the city center, also best spot to enjoy daily sunset. Existing entertainment like children playgrounds, bouncing castles, bicycle rental etc and complimented by weekly markets, music buskers or art and culture activities as well as mini concert.
The Luak Bay Esplanade, 11km south of town, has an attractive white sand beach, making it a popular spot for picnics and barbecues, and probably the best spot in Miri to enjoy the spectacular tropical sunsets. Further down the coast towards Bekenu are a number of attractive casuarina-fringed beaches – Bungai Beach, Sibuti Beach and Peliau Beach – that are ideal for picnicking.
