Bukit Sadok
An important landmark tied to the Sarawak history, Bukit Sadok was a site of Rentap’s stronghold where he and his follower defended their land against their enemy’s, the Brooke forces. Bukit Sadok offers a memorable hiking experience through the thick forests. The hike is pretty challenging and can takes up to several hours to finish the hike, which are perfect for adventure seeker. Bukit Sadok also have panaromic views during the sunrise and sunset which are truly beautiful.
Fort Lily
Fort Lily was built in 1855 under the directive of Charles Brooke. It was name after a flower name “Lily” for it’s beauty among the wilderness. It’s serves as defensive stronghold to defend and control the safety in the Betong area and have a connection in the Brooke administration campaign against Rentap, the Iban Warrior. Now convert as a museum and exhibits, visitor can now know more about the history of the Brooke in Betong and history of local Iban community. Important things such as artifacts, photographs and documents of the past can be found and displayed in Fort Lily.
