LP Robotics (21396) is a robotics team made up of motivated high school students from LPCI. Since 2022, we’ve been building robots to compete in FIRST® Tech Challenge (FTC) annually. For the past three years, we've participated in the 2023 Powerplay, 2024 Centrestage, and 2025 Into the Deep Seasons.

FIRST® (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a non-profit whose aim is to inspire young minds to develop and explore the field of science and technology. FIRST® has expanded to many countries around the globe with 60,000+ teams. FIRST® Tech Challenge (FTC) is hosted annually by FIRST® with a different challenge for the robots each year. Students will build and code a robot for a specific task and complete during the season.
2025/2026 - DECODE
The FTC challenge for the 2025-2026 season is: Decode presented by RTX, centring around the theme of archeology.

Why join?
The team provides students the opportunity to learn hands on about building a robot, coding, and engineering, as well as a variety of soft skills such as teamwork and problem-solving. The robot constructed yearly will compete at FTC events, starting with district level qualifiers. Students can gain experience close to "real-life engineering" while competing with teams across the province!
