Mental Health Workshop

For Culture Week 2023, the BSA hosted a Mental Health workshop run by special guest Akosua Atta-Mensah, MSW, RSW. The workshop tackled the stigma around mental health. We discussed a wide array of strategies and resources, each carefully selected to empower individuals in their journey toward emotional well-being.

Cultural clothing day

On Cultural Clothing Day at our school,  students and staff transformed the campus into a vibrant celebration of cultures from around the world. People from various backgrounds adorned themselves in an array of traditional garments, each outfit a masterpiece of cultural expression.

WELLNESS CARD GAME

The Black Student Alliance hosted a Wellness Card Game event that encouraged open dialogue about mental health. It was a powerful way to promote free speech and support for one another and was hosted by special guest Shanelle McKenzie.

Drumming workshop

We partnered with Drums et al with the goal of empowering individuals and teaching people about the  "Universal Language of Rhythm"  This drumming workshop was used as a means to promote character development, mental well-being, and leadership.
