What is HOSA?
HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) is a student-led organization dedicated to helping students become future leaders in health care. HOSA gives students opportunities to learn, collaborate, and gain hands-on experience to prepare for health care careers. Recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and Health and Human Services, HOSA’s mission is to build a strong pipeline of skilled health professionals who are ready to make a positive impact on health care quality.
Here at LP, our HOSA chapter shares this mission by creating unique experiences for members who are passionate about health care. We regularly host workshops, bring in guest speakers from different health professions, and participate in statewide and national competitions where students can put their skills to the test. This year, we’re excited to compete in both fall and spring conferences, where our members will have the chance to showcase their knowledge and potentially earn recognition.
Why Join Us? LP’s HOSA chapter is more than just a club—it’s a community of motivated students who support each other as we explore careers in health care. Whether you dream of becoming a doctor, nurse, public health leader, or anything in between, our chapter will give you the resources and experiences to start your journey.
If you're passionate about making a difference in healthcare, we’d be thrilled to have you!!
