LPCI  Library Volunteers

Welcome to the Lawrence Park Library! We anticipate an amazing year in the library, with great books, electronic resources, an improved website and a new team of volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering in a vibrant, fast-paced environment, the LPCI Library is the place for you. Your contribution will help to make this place a welcoming and supportive environment for students to work and will support the job of our teacher-librarians. You will also gain valuable skills ranging from organization all the way to leadership and management. If this sounds appealing please don’t hesitate to apply to be on our library team! 

What Volunteers Do:

• Check books in and out to students

• Put books back on the shelf and keep the shelves in order

• Help get new books ready for students to use

• Create displays

• Help with book lists for classes

• Help with computers and printing

• Help promote the library to students

If you would like to be considered as a library volunteer for 2023/24 you can pick up an application form from the library. You will also need to complete an orientation and training session. After that we will set up a volunteer timetable and you can join the team helping out and accruing volunteer hours.
