Introduction

Unit 3 is concerned with the way cases are processed through the criminal justice system. Once a crime has taken place there is an initial investigation and the process involves a number of different personnel. In AC1.1 you will be learning about the different personnel involved and their role in the investigation of a crime. You will conclude by examining how effective different personnel are by considering limitations in the context of availability (A), cost (C) and expertise (E) - ACE!
