Walking to Field Trips

As a community school, we try to go on as many field trips around the city and state as we can - some grade levels have at least one field trip a month. To save energy (and to save costs), our teachers host many walking field trips. Classes have walked to M and T Stadium, Oriole Park at Camden Yards, The National Aquarium, Reginald F. Lewis Museum, the Jewish Museum of Baltimore and many more.

Staff Walking and Biking to School

We have several members of our staff that routinely walk (Anne Hendrick, Mike Hendrick, Kim Gordan, Klinton Kinder, Christa Makadia, Liz Obara, Mike Otto, Sally Bennett and Chad Kramer), or ride their bikes (Anne Hendrick, Mike Otto, Jess Pegorsch and Mike Hendrick) to school as a conscious effort to save energy.

All of our younger grades walked to the Canton Square to participate in the Halloween activities!
