Pre-teaching content: Developing the schema for students can help them generate prior knowledge about what they will be learning/or learning about. For example, teachers can show students visuals with accompanying words or videos with closed captions and then support them in visually brainstorming thoughts, questions and facts about what they saw (6; 15).
