Blender is a 3D software tool which can be used to 3D Model, Animate, and has various other powerful uses.
It is used in various industries notably gaming, film/tv, animation, art and VFX etc.
Whilst seemingly complex it is fairly easy to learn once you understand the shortcuts.
Basic navigation of Blender-
Middle mouse button is to pivot.
Shift middle mouse button is to move left right up and down.
Scrolling is to zoom in and out.
Transforming assets-
R is to rotate an asset.
S is to scale an asset.
G is to move an asset .
Each of the above require an input of an axis, so if you press R and X the asset will rotate in the x axis. The different axis include X, Y and Z which use their keyboard letters accordingly. You can also hold shift and one of the axis which will select the other two axis and not the chosen axis.
Other transforming shortcuts include e to extrude, ctrl b to bevel, ctrl r to add a loop cut to add multiple loop cuts use the scroll wheel.
To duplicate an asset you can either hold shift and d or alt and d.
To inset a face you can select the face and press I.
To hide an object you can press h and to hide all objects you can press alt h, pressing alt h again will make all hidden objects appear.
To enter edit mode you can press tab and to enter object mode again press tab.
Whilst in edit mode pressing 1 will change to vertices select, pressing 2 will change to edge select and pressing 3 will change to face select.
When in edit mode if you select some geometry, but not all, and press ctrl I it will switch the selected geometry so that the non selected geometry is selected instead.
Ctrl z to undo, shift Ctrl z to redo
