https://sites.google.com/student.don.ac.uk/khetigrabowska/home - I made a separate Google Site dedicated towards the portfolio.
I followed my storyboard closely by adding progress photos and incorporating buttons into the site. I used the photo carousel to show artwork with similar canvas ratios.
I was initially going to use WordPress and even created an account to build up a site there, but I decided on Google Sites instead as I was more well-versed with this site and already knew how to navigate it.
I began by following my template from Task 3 and used a drawing that had important details visible in the site's header. I used this one as it was a nice contrast of pink, cream, and black, catching the viewer's eye.
I thought that too many colors would be distracting from the welcome screen, even if it's just a single word. I decided the more vivid pieces could be looked at properly further down the portfolio.
The original drawing.
I then sifted out these four drawings for the image carousel as they were all similar canvas ratios and one or any didn't need to be cropped.
I included older and newer works to show my range with colors, character emotions, and posing.
At the bottom, I provided my contact information, which is my personal email. I also added my Indeed CV as an embedded link.
This is one of my proudest pieces so I wanted it to have a spot near the top for people to open up to when scrolling through my work. I feel this piece in particular is a perfect example of what I can do in terms of colors, rendering, composition, and fluidity.
For the progress shots shown below, I wanted to include how my artwork looked in different stages of production, as I did so again with one after this.
I marked and labelled the most important parts and spliced them up in three. I also provided the canvas size as I often start out small to doodle out the concept before making the canvas bigger when adding detail.
I then used the collapsible group feature to add a brief description below each progress shot and what I exactly did.
