My name is Tarin. I was born and raised in Austin, Texas. I go to Bowie High school and formerly went to Bailey and Baranoff. I'm a freshman so this is my first year in journalism 1! I've always had a passion for writing and creating, so I thought i'd try it out. I plan to be in newspaper next year. Growing up Iv'e always been very active in all sports but my main is soccer. I was on my Middle schools A team 7th and 8th grade. I was also cheer captain at Bailey. Cheer and soccer are two things I hold near and dear to my. I plan to try out for soccer and cheer this year. My dad is a horror film writer; and for as long as I can remember I've wanted to follow in his footsteps. His crazy idea to strike out on his own, against all odds. I still have that passion in my heart but as of now I want to be a nurse. But as I grow and change i'm sure my life and goals will too.

I joined journalism 1 hoping to explore and test the waters. I want to see if this is a pathway way for me. I enjoy writing whether its an essay for english or a fictional story. I love creating and being able to input my ideas in all types of ways. I hope to learn how to not only become a great writer, but also learn as much as I can about photography and interviewing as well. 

I am enrolled in journalism and yearbook this year, so I will be learning twice the amount! My background in both is very slim, including taking pictures with my dads collection of cameras and editing/creating youtube videos when I was younger. Although my experience is limited I hope to expand my abilities more than I could ever imagine.
